Recommended settings to protect KeePass ?

Spurred by a Reddit discussion on a KeePass 2.x hack using .NET and DLL injection, what are the recommended settings to protect KeePass from external threats?

I'm not directly impacted as I use KeePass 1.x, and added KeePass as a new shield to the MBAE "Other" category. But I notice that MBAE Other category has the fewest protections, so was wondering if a more protected category would be better and still let KeePass work. I can post the Reddit link on request (didn't want to spam this forum).

Feel free to post the reddit link.

However from the bried description you provided it sounds as a local attack (i.e. once a machine is compromised) and outside the score of MBAE which deals with "remote code execution targeting popular applications".

Btw, moving this thread to Questions sub-forum.
