MBAM Premium doesn't update automatically?

Sometimes MBAM Premium doesn't always auto-update the definitions. I end up having to

do a manual update. It happens now and then, not all the time. I have uninstalled MBAM

using the uninstaller and then reinstall with the same results.

 

BTW, how does one change their screen name?

Hi:

 

I understand that you have reinstalled the program, to no avail.  Routine troubleshooting would normally start with step 1 below, in order to get to a known, clean starting point.

However, if you wish, you may skip down to step #2 and post the 3 diagnostic logs.

If the problem is intermittent, it sounds more like something amiss with your internet or connectivity, or a software conflict.

But the logs will be a good place to start:

• Please follow the steps in this pinned topic to uninstall your current version of MBAM and reinstall the latest build - MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x
• If that does not correct the issue, then please read the following and post back attached to your next reply the 3 requested logs - Diagnostic Logs (the 3 logs are: FRST.txt, Addition.txt and CheckResults.txt)

I was using an outdated uninstaller. I just used the uninstaller for v2.xxx and will watch it for several days.

Hopefully using the correct removal tool will get it done. FWIW, whenever I set up a computer the first

things I do is...

1) Remove the pre-loaded antivirus.

2) Install Avast.

3) Install MBAM Premium.

 

I won't surf without avast and MBAM Premium.

If I run into the same issue I will be back.

OK, sounds like a plan.

 

It might have been something with your connectivity, minor corruption with the program, a problem with your MBAM settings, or even with the computer's power management (MBAM will not update if the computer is asleep or hibernating).

If you run into problems again, please post back with the 3 requested diagnostic logs, so that we can better troubleshoot.
