Automated Scheduling 2.0.3.1025

Recommended Posts

I have the free MB 2.0.3.1025 on my Win7 and Vista notebook.

The Win7 MB has Automated Scheduling and two categories below it: "Check for Updates" and "Threat Scan."

The Vista MB 2.0.3.1025 does not have these two boxes to check in the Automated Scheduling.

What am I doing wrong?

If those two settings are only available in trial edition (on the Win7), how can I delete and just get the free version?

Hi:

A Trial version is enabled by default during a new install or upgrade, UNLESS EITHER 1) the user opts-out by removing the tick-mark from the option during the installation wizard, OR 2) a Trial version has been previously installed on this same computer.

The Trial version includes all features of the Premium version for 14-days, including Automated Scheduling.

So, if one of your two computers is showing these options and the other Advanced Settings are enabled, and if you have not activated the program with a paid license ID/key, then that computer most likely is running the Trial version.

This can be confirmed by looking at the ribbon at the very top of the GUI/dashboard, where it will say "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Trial) 2.0.3.1025".

If you wish to revert to the Free version on that computer, you can do any of the following:

  1. Wait for the trial to expire, at which time the program will revert to Free; or
  2. Click the "End Free Trial" link in the dashboard (see screen cap below); or
  3. Click the "End Trial" button in the notification popup (see screen cap below); or
  4. Cleanly reinstall, making sure to decline an option for a Trial version, if it is offered during the installation.

Thanks,

Yes, if you do not see the Trial version offered, then it means that it had already been used on that particular computer.
(The Trial version is available only ONE time on a particular computer.)

Yes, you now have the Free version (please refer to the screen cap below). :)
Yes, the Automated Scheduling features are only available in the Trial and Premium versions (see screen cap below). :)

If you were to activate MBAM to the paid, Premium version with a valid, paid license ID/key, those features would be enabled.

They are disabled now because you have the Free, manual, on-demand version that does not offer those advanced features.

ALSO, for additional information:
There is an FAQ Section here: Common Questions, Issues, and their Solutions
And here are links to the MBAM 2.0 User Guide: Online and PDF
And there are many useful KB topics and videos at the helpdesk support page

Thanks,
