I have been having the same problem as you.  I opened a ticket on May 20 and have yet to hear from anyone.  I have tried every idea found on the website to no avail.  Clean install after using the special cleaner.  Shutting down my virus software and installing again, Running all the log programs and attaching them to my open ticket, attempting to run Malwarebytes in safe mode, Installing and running Super Anti Spyware, all to no avail and still no help coming from the Malwarebyte techs.  I have a feeling they are having some kind of major problem and just don't want to admit it.

Hello and :welcome: , MikeWS:

Sorry to hear you are having issues.
Each computer is unique.
Problems that sound "the same" most often are not.
The same is true for solutions.
They most often need to be individualized.

It is less confusing for everyone if we try to stick to "one user per topic".
Please start a NEW, SEPARATE topic using the cjfj.png button.
The staff and experts will be able to more easily provide both you and the OP with individual help to get you both up and running.

>>>Since you have already tried a clean reinstall, the next step will be to obtain a bit of basic system info.

So, to save us and you a bit of time, please read this pinned topic and include the requested logs with your new topic: Diagnostic Logs

Thanks for your patience and understanding,

I uninstalled mbam from cpanel, restarted windows,  disabled my antivirus protection, ran the mbam clean exe, restarted windows again, then disabled again the antivirus while installing the mbam. It seems like there was no need for me to insert my license again, it's still there.

I feel like maybe I haven't done something right, as well as I didn't add any exclusions, and I think they won't interfere (much?),

but with all of this, now it's working smooth again :)

Thank you daledoc1, problem fixed!

I'm back.. actually it did not..

Few months ago, I updated my java.. and when I was connecting to internet straight with the cable plugged in my laptop, I was getting a BSOD. So I had to use WiFi and everything was ok. I actually ran in circles many times trying to fix it, disabling or even downgrading java.. until few days ago when I decided to uninstall Java completely. After that, I put connected my internet cable straight in the laptop and I didn't got any BSOD at all. But I think that around the time when I uninstalled java, there is a very high chance that at that very time, mbam also stopped working and I realized it after some days.

RIght after I wrote the post above, that it's working and such, I got a BSOD. After windows restarted, I saw mbam not opening automatically with the windows (7) start. So I tried to manually open, and there I was, back at point 1.. same problem that I mention in OP.

I suppose I'll have to stay with me Kaspersky antivirus and install mbam one day when I'll have some time to back up my personal files etc and format everything and reinstall windows.

If you wonder why all these hassle, is because I need to connect the cable and not use only wifi due to some work matters etc it's irrelevant to explain why I need it to work, but it's obv. that this is a problem that it shouldn't be. I think it all started with that update of java..damn..

I just did that, but unfortunately there are shown too many of my personal files in there to post in here.. I guess it's a dead end for me. Thank you anyway, you did your best. I will format my computer completely and re-install windows in the upcoming days... if the problem will persist at that point with a clean system, I will get back with full reports.

Hi:

In nearly every case where the OS was not damaged or the computer was not infected, the staff and experts here at the forum have been able to get MBAM 2 up and running for users reporting issues.

Those diagnostic logs are posted 100s (1000s) of times a day at many computer disinfection forums, not just here.

Without them, there's really no way to determine what might be going on with your system.

If you are not comfortable posting the logs here, then (if you are paid user of MBAM PREMIUM) you may wish instead to open a help desk support ticket for free, one-on-one email support.  To do so, please complete the form here: Contact Consumer Support.

If you do, it might facilitate matters to include in your request a link back to this forum topic as a "head start":

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=149707

Having said all that, if you are planning to reinstall Windows soon, then you may not want to bother.

It's certainly up to you. :)

The mod team may lock this topic to prevent other, "me, too!" users from posting in it.

But please feel free to return at any time, if you would like assistance.

Thanks,
