I attempt to log into the admin cosole and get

 

"Logon failed for user: (my name)

Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

 

If I try and log in as the default admin account I get: The username or password is incorrect -

 

How do I resolve this?

Can you check on a specific file for me?  It is located in:

 

C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Enterprise Edition

 

It's called ConsoleValidation.dat.  Please tell me the size of that file.

This happened after the system ran out of disk space on drive C:

I freed up 8 GB of space but reducing the size of the page file from 12GB to 4 GB but still have the error.

I am having the exact same issue.  Server ran out of disk space and we can no longer login to the admin console.  Diskspace has been addded and the server rebooted.  I checked the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Malwarebytes Enterprise Edition\ConsoleValidation.dat and it is 0 bytes in size and is empty.  Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same issue...If you have access to a VM or spare server, install MB and copy the ConsoleValidation.dat file to your Malwarebytes Server.

I'm now able to launch the console without any errors.

MrMikeThompson is correct.  The easiest way to workaround this issue is to replace ConsoleValidation.dat with a new one.  If you are able to set up a VM and install MEE, you can then copy that file over to your regular installation.

 

If you are not able to do this, we can perform this process for you.  Just send me a PM and I will assist you further.

Thank you for the information.  I am going to attempt restoring the file from backups, and failing that then try a reinstall.

Opened a command prompt as admin on the destination machine and ran ipconfig /flushdns then ran ipconfig /registerdns and then ran gpupdate /force.  Once those commands finished I restarted the machine and logged back in and tried the install again and it worked.
