Malwarebytes bocking outgoing connection of Avast to an IP:

Recommended Posts

Hi, ahfdr: :)

It looks as if MBAM PRO was doing its job of blocking potentially malicious content on that website.

No, MBAM is not blocking avast!

It's just that certain AVs (such as avast!) filter network traffic.

So, when the block occurs, it appears to be coming from your avast! process, rather than your web browser.

This KB topic explains what you're seeing: Why is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware blocking my antivirus?

More general information about the IP blocking module is here: What does it mean when I get an IP alert about blocking a 'malicious' site?

While some users find that system performance is improved by setting mutual exclusions between MBAM PRO and their AV, it's not routinely necessary.

If you need help with that, please post back and someone will assist you with it.

HTH,
