Hi and welcome to Malwarebytes. The simplest way to define a rogue is they are programs that claim to do things they really don't and usually want money for it. Some will actually harm your PC while claiming to help. Keep asking questions and reading you will learn.

I'm going to say yes they will continue with the F/P, plus they may not find what might really be on your system. Combine this with what other damage they may do and you have a most undesirable situation. There is no reason to pay money for that!!
