snoze Posted April 19, 2013 ID:671900 Share Posted April 19, 2013 Hi, I just run a full scan with Malwarebytes. This was the only thing to show up..............................................Registry Data Items Detected: 1HKCU\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\control panel|Homepage (PUM.Hijack.HomePageControl) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0)................................................I use spywareblaster too. I went to tools in spywareblaster and put a tick in the box the other day saying " Disable the IE home page settings. I had a little read on the internet and hear. it was mixed results, but most said "ignore it " was that the right thing to do. I could take the tick out of the box and run it again, but time is getting on now. Thanks for any help ;-)
Staff shadowwar Posted April 19, 2013 Staff ID:671923 Share Posted April 19, 2013 PUM basically means Potentially unwanted modification. In this case you set it instead of malware so it would be safe to add to the ignore list in malwarebytes.
