Free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

Thanks for allowing me to join the forum. Hopefully this is the right place to ask this.

I installed the free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program a couple of weeks ago and I was under the impression that it was the free, not a trial period. I now continue to get a message that the trial has 0 days. I then did a search on is it really free or a trial period and the reply back was it is free, but there is a problem that the pop-up appears.

Now that I have found this forum, I'm asking again is it free and if yes, will it scan for malware? My version is 1.70.0.1100. Seems to me I downloaded it from the CNET site. I understand that it does not automatically scan.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much,

Thank so much for the quick reply, I really appreciate it. When I removed the program from the system tray the other day I thought that did away with the program. Duh!
