Malware does not scan whole computer

Malware used to scan entire computer at 3 plus million files. now it only scans approx 300,000 files. What changed? is this normal? If not, how do I change it back?

Hi -

Can you please post a log from Malwarebytes Anti-malware (click on logs on the top line of MBAM program face) that shows the list of 3 million files being scanned, and then please post a more recent log that shows about 300,000 files scanned -

Noknojon is right. That information would be very helpful. One of the things that we would be looking for in those logs is what is being scanned. To make sure that you are scanning everything there are a few key places to check your settings.

Open the Malwarebytes program and click on the Settings tab. On this tab there are three sub tabs. Click the Scanner Settings tab and make sure that all of the options on this page are checked to ensure that Malwarebytes is scanning all of those options. The click on the Ignore tab and make sure that the items listed here are correct and that you haven't added a major folder(example: System 32 folder) to the list.

Go ahead and check these settings and if that does not fix the issue go ahead and post the logs that Noknojon asked for.
