Root Admin RubbeR DuckY Posted February 4, 2007 Root Admin ID:2227 Share Posted February 4, 2007 I just got a new toy, Windows Vista. And I installed VB.NET which I am planning on picking up fairly fast. Is there any new program that you would like to see for Windows Vista, I can use a project idea. Link to post
Tarun Posted February 4, 2007 ID:2228 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Avoid VB, it's so limited. It's pretty easy to pick up on Turbo Delphi. Link to post
Root Admin RubbeR DuckY Posted February 4, 2007 Author Root Admin ID:2229 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Not .NET .. that thing is so powerful in both C++ and VB .. its amazing =]. Link to post
Prm753 Posted February 4, 2007 ID:2231 Share Posted February 4, 2007 Did you buy your new toy or was it donated? Link to post
Tarun Posted February 4, 2007 ID:2232 Share Posted February 4, 2007 .NET does not allow for applications to be easily portable or allow you to run the applications on systems with no .NET Framework. I'd say that is quite crippled. That's why I go for Delphi or any other language where you are not relying on a dependency. Link to post
Root Admin RubbeR DuckY Posted February 4, 2007 Author Root Admin ID:2236 Share Posted February 4, 2007 I bought it. And as for portability.. I will only use .NET for Vista and higher.. My other programs will still be VB6 =) Link to post
