kmk12 Posted December 20, 2011 Author ID:506801 Share Posted December 20, 2011 Sorry to reply to this so fast ... can someone please help me? My CPU is routinely running at 100% usage and I have ping.exe show up as one of the processes. I have tried running all sorts of maleware removal and virus removal (maleware bytes, superantspyware, avast, trendmicro house call, tdsskiller, ect). When I run the antivirus software it seems to find the problem and then once I restart the computer it makes me restore to an earlier date.Thank you in advance! LDTate Posted December 20, 2011 ID:506971 Share Posted December 20, 2011 Logs will be closed if you haven't replied within 3 days Please don't attach the scans / logs for these tools, use "copy/paste".DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data. Please run a new MBAM scan being sure to update before scanning.Post the scan resultsAlso please describe how your computer behaves at the moment. Please don't attach the scans / logs, use "copy/paste". kmk12 Posted December 21, 2011 Author ID:507244 Share Posted December 21, 2011 LD - When I try to run mbam /developer in the command prompt (with the space). It returns 'mbam' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Regardless, I ran a full scan (instead of a quick scan) and here is the resulting log. Note that two PUP.Bitminer came up and I did not select it for removal (even when I do select it for removal it comes right back).Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.51.2.1300www.malwarebytes.orgDatabase version: 911122006Windows 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1Internet Explorer 8.0.7601.1751412/20/2011 6:42:08 PMmbam-log-2011-12-20 (18-42-08).txtScan type: Full scan (C:\|)Objects scanned: 302367Time elapsed: 45 minute(s), 42 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 1Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 1Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\ProxyServer (PUM.Bad.Proxy) -> Value: ProxyServer -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:c:\Windows\assembly\temp\kwrd.dll (PUP.BitMiner) -> Not selected for removal. CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.Give it atleast 20-30 minutes to finish if needed. Please do not attach the scan results from Combofx. Use copy/paste.Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

kmk12 Posted December 22, 2011 Author ID:507774 Share Posted December 22, 2011 See attached ComboFix Log...I don't see PING.exe in the task manager anymore. Computer was running at 100% upon startup (svchost.exe was high usage) then it went back to a lower usage level (between 1-20%). I have also not seen any more issues with redirects or random pop ups.ComboFix 11-12-21.02 - Kevin 12/21/2011 18:03:03.2.1 - x64Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 6.1.7601.1.1252.1.1033.18.1916.1059 kmk12 Posted December 22, 2011 Author ID:507872 Share Posted December 22, 2011 Hi LD-Well like I said I no longer have any pop ups or redirects, however, after following your instructions below to uninstall Combofix, ect. I ran one more full system scan with MBAM... that darn PUP.BITMINER showed back up. I attached the log. I don't see PING.EXE anymore in the task manager and I dont seem to be running at 100% efficiency anymore. Am I in the clear or do we still have more cleanup? Thanks in advance.Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.51.2.1300www.malwarebytes.orgDatabase version: 911122201Windows 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1Internet Explorer 8.0.7601.1751412/21/2011 11:11:14 PMmbam-log-2011-12-21 (23-11-14).txtScan type: Full scan (C:\|)Objects scanned: 301770Time elapsed: 35 minute(s), 44 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 0Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 1Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:c:\Windows\assembly\temp\kwrd.dll (PUP.BitMiner) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
