  1. So basically here's what happened. I went into my friend's computer via TeamViewer to help him get rid of viruses. Bad Idea. I ended up getting a downloader from him and a few worms. When I discovered them, it was too late. I immediately started up malwarebytes and it found 5 viruses in the first 30 seconds. Since his computer kept restarting before the scan could complete, I decided to abort the scan, get rid of these viruses and then restart and finish the scan. Another bad idea. So now I start my computer back up, and 5 seconds into my desktop loading, I get a BSoD. I then proceeded to run a malwarebytes in Safe Mode (no networking because it was obviously a worm) and decided to check the other computers in my house. My next computer...same deal. Except this time I wasn't stupid. I shut down the first computer after deleting 49 viruses (it still showed a BSoD when I started it up normally with the error code *** STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xA939525D, 0xA57897EC, 0x00000000)) I booted the second computer into safe mode and deleted 49 viruses. It seems to be working fine although my dlink router seems to be having issues. Here's what I want to know. 1) Can the worm get into the router and mess stuff up there? If so, how do I fix this? 2) What's going on with my first computer? How do I fix it? 3) Why is the internet down with it? I will be trying to get the malwarebytes log from all of the scans up and to do a hijackthis...but I don't know if I will be able to since the first thing that happens is the BSoD and there's no internet available. Thanks for all who help!
