no one seen this one yet,,, really bad,, changes your whole system and won't let you install ANYTHING!!!!! just keeps poping up and scanning your system and that's it,,,had to wipe customers drive and install fresh copy of XP..

guess no one knows how to fix this one!!!!!!!!!!! won't boot in any mode and tried restore, system repair from cd, last known config, NOTHING works just get same error ((windows/system32/drivers/streamex.sys status: 0xc0000098 info :windows failed to load because of critical system driver is missing or corupt ))

Please follow the directions below and someone will assist you in fixing your system. Someone will work with you one on one to assist you in the forum listed below. Please print out, read and follow the directions here, skipping any steps you are unable to complete. WOULDN'T WINDOWS HAVE TO BE RUNNING TO FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS? VISTA WON'T EVEN START! NO WAY!

did respond earlier to AdvancedSetup's and mountaintree16's suggestions but it's hard to do ant of those things when the pc won't even boot in ANY way!!!

No answer yet to this post? My pc works fine after reinstalling Vista, no thanks to this form!

Have to get Vista reinstalled by a shop! Can't keep using my friends pc !

antimalware doctor thing virus? i downloaded malwarebytes and that seems to have worked. had to do like 20 scans to get it all but i no longer have pop ups, im doing another full scan today and so far it hasnt found anything so hopefully its gone. so my bf used that malwarebytes too and it found 15 infections so he deleted them all. when he restarted his computer it said that he did not have all files he needed and to insert the windows vista disk. he burnt off a copy of it offline but it didnt work. Vista comes up with, windows/system32/drivers/streamex.sys status: 0xc0000098 info :windows failed to load because of critical system driver is missing or corupt tried everything,restore,last con fig,repair, NOTHING works. Called my pc repair guy and he said I'd have to wipe my drive and reinstall Vista! VERY disappointed in Malwarebytes.
