Thanks for the tip, Pedro, but I only use the writer of LibreOffice. Useful information for other users, though.
-
Also, Comodo Dragon and LibreOffice Writer.

Yes, that's what I meant.

Thunderbird, Skype, WinRAR and PDF-XChange Viewer so far.

Tried to add Mozilla Thunderbird, thunderbird.exe, to Other profile > E-Mail. This shield did not add or is missing.
I added Thunderbird to my custom shields and have no problems with it.
Did you change the name of the preset profile "other" to "E-Mail"? Your post suggests that. Maybe therein lies the issue.
-
I suppose it is the same. Only asked, because previously you only mentioned disabling MBAM's malware and website protection.

Ritchie, Pedro, I just enabled only the Malwarebytes components in CCleaner w/ the latest winapp2.ini installed, after running an analyze from CCleaner, I see nothing at all selected. No clues at all.
More than likely it's because the default paths for log files have been changed in MBAE and MBAM. It's in %ProgramData%, not in %LocalAppData% or %CommonAppData%.

Thanks, Pedro. I'm not worried about it, was just thinking that other heavy java use programs may suffer the same sluggishness. Minecraft comes to mind.

Try the latest version 0.10.3.0100. https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=146368

Running the latest version of MBAE alongside with MP3 Rocket (mp3rocket.me) causes the latter to run slow as molasses. It's a java heavy application, so I'm guessing that's where the issue lies.
The program does execute normally when MBAE's protection is stopped.
Logs are attached. EMET is not installed.

Too complicated. According to posts on the forum future updates of MBAE after 0.10.01000 were not to require uninstalls before installing the new version.
Just like reboots are not required 99% of the time, yet some people still do them after every install/uninstall.
I tried the new version yesterday and most of the files had a '_' at the end. I had never seen files before that ended in '_" especially '*.exe' files that ended with '*.exe_'
I was under the impression that issue had been fixed, according to the thread you started: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=146389
Not sure why you would have to turn off MBAM self protection to do an update to MBAE.
Pedro said so: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=146097&page=2#entry816876
Thanks for your advice but I will hold off doing anything until someone with more posts here comes along and says the the latest release of MBAE 0.10.3.0100 has been updated or the file on the link is the updated build that won't generate files ending in '_"
I shall work on my quantity of posts.

The Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (with the apostrophe) should be an old folder and save to delete. Malwarebytes changed that a good while back.
mbamext.dll should not be in the MBAE folder at all as it belongs to MBAM, not MBAE.
109 kb is the correct (current) size.
-
And if you happen to have MBAM v2.0.1 installed, make sure to disable the self-protection module in MBAM first.
-
Try updating MBAE to version 0.10.3.0100.
Uninstall MBAE
Delete %ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit
Delete %AllUsersProfile%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit
Reboot
Download version 0.10.3.0100 here: https://forums.malwa...howtopic=146368

Glad it worked.

Since we're talking about feature requests, I'd like to see the main window of MBAM not opened when I right-click the taskbar icon and do a manual update check.

Please put notification in next version when database is updated because now in this new version this is not exist.
As far as I am concerned, a notification for a successful update of the database is unnecessary. Notification if an update failed would be more efficient and informative.

The link https://www.malwarebytes.org/getmbam to download the latest version refers to chip.de website still hosting 2.00 version of MBAM.

Installed Java 8 before reading this, and did not experience the above described issue. Java is disabled in all browsers, so that might be why.
What custom shields are you using with MBAE Premium
in Anti-Exploit Beta
Posted
Are custom shields saved as a registry entry or a file? It would be tedious to add several custom shields, for example when reinstalling Windows/new computer, etc.
