Something odd here.... clicking 'Turn On' on either pop-up screen gets no response, beyond the shown 'Pending', no matter how long it's left.

Much better tank you - all seems well since I : disabled the RAM disc removed a Passport HD portable drive I had connected to Drive E: I guess one or both of these could have been at fault. Windows is acting normal, mouse speed normal, boot up normal, Malwarebytes installed OK and operating without detections, all MS apps running without 'temp' folder errors. Thank you @JSntgRvr 🙏

Some months ago, as the CPU is quite old on this PC and I was looking for extra grunt - I'll disable now.

Thanks for answering. The MBST file downloaded, but on running, failed immediately with the error attached. The 'temp file' is also a problem for running any Microsoft app currently (Excel, Word etc) - they all error out mentioning the same issue with the Temp file.

Hi, My PC refuses to install Malwarebytes (fails at 26% everytime) no matter if I use the online or standalone versions. It also refuses to install any other online or downloadable virus checker, including CCleaner, that I have tried - erroring out each time before they can run. The mouse is occasionally really slow, I've been having occasional boot issues too. Something is up....
