I was just reading about QwixxRAT and Telegram RAT in this article: https://latesthackingnews.com/2023/08/22/new-qwixxrat-windows-malware-spreads-through-telegram-and-discord The article doesn't mention how it spreads, or what needs to happen for a computer to get infected (at least to a muggle like me). Can anyone fill me in on how to keep myself safe from this and/or whether MBAM and Browserguard will protect me from it? I'm on Discord a lot. Thanks!

Thanks for that @Porthos, I do still feel like the reminder function would be better if it took all scans into consideration, not just manual scans. I also have to wonder why the functionality to scan all drives is built in if it's a useless function. I usually run that custom scan overnight on the night I'm least likely to be running a big render so it's kind of a "If it's there, why not?" scenario. Though if it is just bloat they should certainly remove it.

Hi, I've got three suggestions at the moment. First I've been getting the scan reminder every day even though I run a threat scan every single day and a custom scan of all drives once per week. I have the reminder set to notify me if I've missed a scan for more than a day. Second, I think it would be useful for the home screen on the app to display the date and time of last update similarly to how Windows Update shows this information. And third, it would be useful to have the app remember where it was on the desktop/multi display setup when it was last closed and open there the next time it opens. This isn't a big deal, but I have a number of screens open at startup and they all remember where they were except MBAM which likes to open in the middle of the screen. The build version I'm using is always the newest one offered when I update, currently that's 4.5.8.191
