  1. It was just in my downloads folder from when I was using it. I googled it and it lead me here. Thanks.
  2. I have Malwarebytes premium and @AdvancedSetup has helped me in the past and Malwarebytes flagged securitycheck.exe as malware. The date of the executable was 12/21/2023. Here's the information of my Malwarebytes: Malwarebytes version: 4.6.8.311 Update package version: 1.0.81718 component package version: 1.0.2259 last updated: 3/3/24 10:01 am. I think that will do it. malwarebytes log details.txt 8fe60afa-d938-11ee-ba2c-fc44821330ac.json.log
  3. I hope this isn't too old to reply to, but I have Malwarebytes premium and @AdvancedSetup has helped me in the past and Malwarebytes flagged securitycheck.exe as malware. The date of the executable was 12/21/2023. Here's the information of my Malwarebytes:
  4. I figured out that UAC message. There's a windows 10 security setting that's recommended to turn on that notifies me when my computer is trying to change something on my drive. It doesn't alert me often.
  5. Thank you so much for all of this work. I appreciate all that you've done for me. I'll follow up with Ultraedit support on that other issue. Happy holidays everyone. This can be closed now.
  6. I also changed a text file with my text editor UltraEdit made by IDM and I received a rather long user account control message when doing it. I've attached those pictures.
  7. I uninstalled two of the python versions I didn't need. I hope that's ok. I've installed all the rest of the programs. I rebooted and checked windows updates and there were none. Here are the attached logs. FRST.txt Addition.txt
  8. I've been unplugging my network cable unless I need it for stuff like this. Is that necessary?
  9. I'm going to start this up again. Sorry. My backups are pretty old. I didn't use incrementals, like I should have. I'll let you know when I install that stuff and do the other tasks.
  10. Are there any types of files, like text files, that I can save from bad backups? Or is everything lost?
  11. I think someone can still access my E drive, too. I added the column date accessed and a number of folders have been accessed in the past few minutes. Should I restore my c drive and e drive from backup? I already restored my e drive, but that didn't help. Maybe I should restore both?
  12. I received an error and it was in a foreign language. Here it is: Here's the file. SecurityCheck.txt
  13. ok. I reset chrome on my computer and iphone and elsewhere. One question. When I went to start chrome, the malwarebytes extension was added "by a third party". I hope that was malwarebytes, right? Thanks again.
  14. OK. Sorry about that. I did it right this time. Here are the files: FRST.txt Addition.txt
