  1. Hi Phobos...thought I'd let you know I resolved the issue. I did a chkdsk /f as well as a couple other things but the problem persisted...until...I disabled Malwarebytes. I had had the free version but accepted a Trial to the Pro. I initially thought that maybe it was my Hdmi to a TV monitor but hadn't had an issue before so disabled Malwarebytes and the problem went away. Will update some Drivers and then enable again. Thanks for your help.
  2. Question...what possible problem would these scans reveal? it seems to show quite a bit of private data?
  3. thanks so much Porthos (lol...every Trekker knows who he is). Thank so much
  4. It's really odd that this happened right after I quarantined those things and they're just PUP's. Just learned that they're not critical. Am using safe mode with networking and it's fine like that

  6. I tried system restore but it didn't work...am using my other laptop. Will try and get the log
  7. I'm trying to figure out how to do this, to find the log and copy and paste, but keep getting the blue screen with the error and then my laptop restarts.
  8. Hello...I need help, urgently. I checked help files but can't find an answer to my problem. Tonight I did a scan, not knowing what the files are put them in Quarantine. I wish I hadn't!!!! Am pretty sure now it was a False positive... Now get the Blue Screen fltmgr.sys error. Detection History shows 10 files in quarantine from ages ago, the History tab shows the most recent 4 files, but no checkmark to restore!! I think one of the files in there is critical Windows System Driver. How can I get these files back?? I'm not a Techie and need a step by step. Thanks so much Tina
