  1. Okay, so apparently Windows defender did a quick scan yesterday evening and nothing was detected either. I googled a bit of the registry key and apparently it's for careueyes as well.

I have a couple of portable antivirus scanners that I run when my paranoia goes overboard, and that app gets flagged a lot. It's never happened with Malwarebytes before, though. Maybe because of the update?

  2. I haven't downloaded anything, so I am confused.

I noticed my laptop was acting kind of weird yesterday. It would randomly go into sleep mode, but I thought nothing of because this laptop is about 5 years old and it's done that before.

I bought the premium. I am supposed to have real time protection. If I didn't have daily scans enabled, I wouldn't have known about the malware. My scan from yesterday was clean. How did malware go undetected for almost one day???? This is very upsetting and I may not renew my license.

    Here is my malware scan.
The careueyeslite thing is my blue light blocker app. I think that may be a false positive? I don't know what the registry key is. Please, please tell me this is a false positive.

    The scans are the same.

  4. to my laptop?

Okay, long story short. I got a virus last year (my fault) and you guys helped me clean up my pc, but I've been too afraid to save anything to my laptop.

Nothing weird has happened since then, so I guess this is mainly for my peace of mind.

Anyway, I really started to freak out because at one point the hacker was able to access my amazon account, even though I have 2 factor authentication on (this was when I was in the process of cleaning my laptop). I think he either spoofed my laptop (I had my pw saved to chrome and didn't require 2 factor on familiar devices) or used a remote device. So, if he decided to f with me again one day, would he be able to do anything if I have a new hard drive? Even if he still has all of my info that he used to spoof my laptop?

  5. I was infected with the Azorult botnet trojan. I can't remember if I saw it on any of the logs, as I kind of freaked out and used multiple anti-viruses when I found out I had malware. I became aware of the Azorult recently though CreditKarma. I did some research and apparently this trojan steals everything on your computer.

Should I expect to have my identity stolen in the future?

All that's happened so far (after I cleaned my laptop) is that I get phishing emails every now and then. I had some really important stuff on my computer, and it is making me anxious knowing that my whole identity may be floating around on the dark web...

  7. I don't know what to do. I was beginning to think that my paranoia was getting the better of me until last night. Two pages of my history popped up as in tabs. One was of something I was searched on google (if it's relevant at all, it was something about a permission exploit. I can't remember) and then another was of a message on here. I clicked on that tab and then the page started scrolling up like someone was reading it. I turned off my wifi, reset my laptop and connected to Ethernet in safe mode so I could download the iso windows 10 thing. It still hasn't helped. Just right now I as I was changing the password to my email, the page clicked submit on its own and then froze and crashed. Afterwards a command prompt flashed onto my screen.

My phone has been acting weird too, even though I reset it. I am stressing out. What else is there for me to do? I can't afford to go to a repair shop. Are they even open?
