I have the same problem. My mac caught a virus in the last days and I used malwarebytes to get rid of this search.news tool bar-thing. (Forgot the name) I let Malwarebyte run a test and it found 2 files which where put into quarantine. I deleted this 2 files. After that my internet connection was lost, but my wifi is still connected. Any app which uses internet doesn't work anymore (safari, chrome, app store ...) Did you find a resolution for this particular problem?
