The update resolved the Web Blocking feature, there are a bizarre series of other problems on my Windows PC that are occurring now.
Windows Defender no longer works. The Defender window opens, but has only a blue screen with the Defender icon - no content at all. The Defender taskbar icon shows an exclamation point (actions recommended), but I have no access to the program.
Oddly, my taskbar start button is no longer working, nor the Cortana search. The taskbar settings will not open. I can no longer alt-tab between applications.
I disabled MWB in the startup folder, but it made no difference. My system is hobbled.
I'm all for patience when mistakes happen, but this is stretching my patience.

Update:
After experimenting with a few more reboots (with MWB remaining disabled in startup), The taskbar issues appear to have resolved and Windows Defender now seems to be working normally.
I will not use or update MWB for a while until I am certain they truly fixed the problems.
By the way, I have use MWB for years and have a lifetime license.
