  1. The Premium Trial, which I am now running, contains Ransomware protection which goes away after the 14 day trial ends. I am not sure what happens with the anti-Ransomware Beta after the 14 days is over.
  2. To solve the problem, I have upgraded to the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware which includes Anti_Ransomware. Thanks for your response. Steve
  3. Today when I booted up, MBAR failed to activated. I am running Beta 0.9.17.661 with Component Update Package 1.1.46. What's the problem
  4. This update, Component Update 1.1.19, seems to have solved the problem, which had nothing to do with the BSOD.
  5. An uninstall and then a reinstall seems to have fixed the problem.
  6. Starting today, Dec 26, when I booted up, I received a popup that said "Your license failed to activate". I am running Windows 7 SP1 Pro 64 bit. I am running the latest version with component update 1.1.19
  7. Is there a fix in the near future? I haven't heard anything from you in over a week
  8. Doing that resolved the issue. But without Ransomeware, I have no problem even with Microsoft Security Essentials running
  9. I don't remember. Also the first boot after reinstalling was normal but the next reboot had the problem which is why I rebooted 2 times in a row.
  10. Still having the same problem. I have done the following: 1. Uninstalled KB3197868 2. Uninstalled Anti-Ransomware 3. Rebooted 4. Installed the reissued KB3197868 5. Rebooted 6. Reinstalled Anti-Ransomeware 7. Rebooted 8. Rebooted After all that, nothing has changed. Still having lengthy shutdown time.
  11. Do you mean that you can duplicate my problem on your machine?
  12. https://www.askwoody.com/2016/malwarebytes-stumbles-with-false-positive-on-kb-3197868-the-win7-november-monthly-rollup/ The above link is a discussion of problems with Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware since the installation of Windows Security Update KB3197868. Not only did my shutdown problem with Anti-Ransomware start with that update but many others have had problems with Anti-Malware. Please look at comments in the above link. Maybe there is some connection affecting both products.
  13. Here are the requested files: FRST.txt Addition.txt CheckResults.txt
  14. Additional Info: The first shutdown after the install takes 15 seconds. Subsequent shutdowns revert to 5 minutes.
