  1. C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun "OfficeClickToRun.exe" after its quarantined all of Microsoft Office applications stop working and only start to work again after a fresh reinstall, whats weird is that if you put the directory stated above it mitigates the problem from occurring as often as it use to but it still happened one more time since put in the exclusions list.
  2. this is weird i dont see the screenshot I attached on the first comment
  3. Okey so i guess its nothing to worry about... Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this to me!
  4. Last night I notice that Microsoft System Certificates Roots (which I highlight on the screenshot attached below) were modified by a program called "Firehack" (a premium multi-hack for retail World of Warcraft). Firehack.exe is only supposed to access and modify WoW-64.exe in memory; makes no sense for Firehack.exe to be modifying Microsoft System Certificates like \SmartCardRoot -- \AuthRoot -- \Root 'or HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\SecurityProviders\Schannel. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do programs usually access Microsoft System Certificates like \SmartCardRoot -- \AuthRoot -- \Root or is this unusual behavior? I have sensitive information on my system, I'm worried that this could compromise the integrity of my system's decryption certificates sense its certificate directories have been modified. I though this program was safe to run because my friend uses it and make me install to play with him so I "Allowed" all of the Host Intrution Prevention warnings with out reading me (I know bad move) but after looking at my entry logs for Defense+ the modification to the certificate directory scared me. As of now FireHack.exe has no internet access and all its permissions have been revoked and no significant data transfers 6/kb in 1kb out over the duration of its existence on my system.
  5. Thanks for the repliy but i am the system adiminastrator and it wont update automatically any method I can use to update it without losing all my custom shields?
  6. Ok so I have a copy of Malwarebytes anti-exploit premium on my main computer and I just finished installing a free version on my VM and noticed its version is 1.08.1.1045 and the one on my main computer is 1.07.1.1015 some significant updates went into the new release so it would be great to update it but my main desktop copy of MBAE wont update automatically for whatever reason and I’m willing to reinstall it but I have probably 30 programs with custom shielding and it would suck to have to reconfigure them. One more thing, I would just like to report a bug from what I’ve seen it doesn’t disrupt the exploit protection but it’s annoying… Every time Windows Explorer restarts or crashes the MBAE icon tray disappears and notifications don’t alert you of new protected applications after initiation of the protected app.
