  1. This thread does appear to have run it's course, so I will make one last comment regarding the no edit rule for noobs policy. In my world, if someone abuses their forum privelidges, new or experienced, they get banned... period... no more problem. Saying a noob can't edit their post is like telling a new automobile driver they can't use turn signal indicaters because they may not use tem correctly. Just saying.
  2. Not to hijack the thread, but not being able to edit your own post is wrong... period.
  3. man, I'm so dumb... I have a couple typos in my previous post, but I do not see the edit option.
  4. @ Imach -The thread may have progressed since you read it. I like where it appears to be going by adding that notification to the control of disappearing.
  5. Hello exile360, Thank you for a fine program and your consideration of how user are difficult to please I also have Malicious Website Detection disabled and agree with where this thread appears to be heading... having the bootup Notification displayed, but also have it acr according to setting in the general page for fading. This is essentially the same as my clicking the X to close it, in that in both cases the notification is gone. Having a reminder pop up occasionally may be useful also, because as yuou say, forgetting it is disabled is very possible. But then it would be useful to allow the user to display the frequency with which the notification pops... similar to being able to specify how long a notification shows. Great stuff, thank you very much.
  6. Thank you for reply, and glad to hear the issue is being addressed. I am not complaining about the notification, that is great, but it should fade per the setting in the General Settings page.
  7. Thank you for rapid reply. All instructions and suggestions were executed, unfortunately the issue is still there. To clarify, the issue is not to do so much with the Malicious Website Protection being disable... I have it set as such. The issue is with the Notification not disappearing after 7 seconds as set in the dashboard (see OP). Shot of Dasboard: Logs: FRST.txt Addition.txt CheckResults.txt
  8. I am currently running Since updating to this version, I get an error message at startup that does not go away, dispite the setting to have messages disappear after 7 seconds and yes, I do have "Malicious Website Protection" disabled How do I get the message to fade without my interaction???
  9. The steps outlined in step 1 appear to have cleared the issue. Thank you for your quick response... this thread can be marked solved.
