Here's a little fact for automotive buffs, or just to dazzle your friends
The four Goldberg brothers, Lowell, Norman, Hiram, and Max, invented and developed the first
automobile air-conditioner. On July 17, 1946 , the temperature in Detroit was 97 degrees.
The four brothers walked into old man Henry Ford's office and sweet-talked his secretary into telling
him that four gentlemen were there with the most exciting innovation in the auto industry since the electric starter.
Henry was curious and invited them into his office.
They refused and instead asked that he come out to the parking lot to their car.
They persuaded him to get into the car, which was about 130 degrees, turned on the air conditioner, and
cooled the car off immediately.
The old man got very excited and invited them back to the office, where he offered them $3
million for the patent.
The brothers refused, saying they would settle for $2 million, but they wanted the recognition by
having a label, 'The Goldberg Air-Conditioner,' on the dashboard of each car in which it was installed
Now old man Ford was more than just a little anti-Jewish, and there was no way he was going to put the
Goldberg's name on two million Fords.
They haggled back and forth for about two hours and finally agreed on $4 million and that just their
first names would be shown.
And so to this day, all Ford air conditioners show -- Lo, Norm, Hi, and Max -- on the controls.

An airplane crash landed on my street and I have to wait till the wreckage is cleaned up to move my car.

Yeah I'm late to the party. It really, really twists my britches to have to enter a contest by "liking" on FB or using a twerpy tweet to some tweeples. What happened to "Enter your email and we'll let you know if you won"?
-
We got it, it was my fault. I typed the ID and key with a space before and after the dash. I removed the spaces and he now has his MBAM activated.
Thanks for everyone's help.

IE11.
But never mind, it now works.

Thanks Dale, I think these licenses come directly from Newegg, at least that's what the invoice says, no 3rd party. They do also have a Canadian site too though.
I'll have him look at the link you sent about zeros, O's, ones and the letters I or lower case L.
May take a couple of days.

I bought two Pro, Lifetime, licenses from Newegg, com a US company. I sent one too a bud in Australia and he said he can't get it to activate. Are the licenses good only in the country they are sold in?
I'll have to determine what version he's using, didn't get that.

Thank you for letting them know, hopefully they will realize how inconvenient it is to switch browsers to use only one forum.
One more thing, the built-in spell checker doesn't work here with IE either.
-
vBulletin isn't open source either, but forums that use it can change the doc mode to be compatible with the most popular and widely used browser. xenfro also works fine.
-
Can this forum software be change to IE7 as the default document mode?
-
Added to Safe Zone, no change. It must be the software, somewhere in CSS, JSscript or something like that, that I know little about.
-
I still can't figure out the Document mode not User Agent stuff.
-
-
I'll ask Thrashzone at SF, he's quite a good IE man.
BTW, the smileys won't insert either, I typed them in.
-
I restart 8-10 times daily, last about 20 minutes ago I think.
CTRL+V didn't work either though, not does CTRL+C.
-
Dale I had to look "auto-diadact" up. I are one too.
-
Nope Ron, I'm back in IE11 compat view and the paste did nothing.
Neither does"Quote".
-
I see no "Edit" feature here.
Nortin uses something called Lithium software.
I also just noticed PaleMoon has no spell checker. Not godd fro me.
-
Thanks again. The Norton Forum has really "glitchy" software.
Are you a member at http://www.sevenforums.com/ ? I spend 4-10 hours a day there or at Nineforumd and PC Help forums.

Yes Dale you answered my question. I wanted to make sure MBAM had not removed the choice for me to decide what is to be removed. It had flagged a WinPE program, Hiren's Boot CD, and other good program as malware in the past.
Yeah, I am using IE 11 as my only browser, but I have PaleMoon and Opera, I'll have a look there.
This can be marked Solved, I don't see a link for me to do that.
As for the forum copy/paste issues, I think it might be a browser setting issue?
PaleMoon test, all works from it as well. Both are Firefox based.
It would be nice to find a setting in IE to correct ti though, since I have no isseus elsewhere.
Oh, thanks for the warm welcome and your help.

Hi, @Britton30:
Did my previous reply answer your question about the drop down menu selections for PUPs and PUMs?
(BTW I agree that the older wording under version 1.x was clearer....)
As for the forum copy/paste issues, I think it might be a browser setting issue?
I am using Fx 28, but I seem to recall that some users running IE11 have experienced a similar problem.
Alas I can't find the relevant posts, one of which had a workaround/solution.
Cheers,

Opera test, quote and paste both work.

5alive what I am talking about is in the drop down menus in scan settings.
When I clicked to quote Dales message nothing happened except a reply box opened, empty. I highlighted some of his text, select "Copy", right click in the reply box, click "Paste", nothing happens. This is the only site on the web where I have encountered this.

Hi Jadinolf, had to find out how to get MBAM usable.
Build 2.0.2.1010 Install & Scan
in Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.02 Beta Test
Posted
I would like to have the drives to scan in Custom Scan be persistent instead of having to check them each time.
20.02.1010 seems to be working well, no freezes nor lockups.
