  5. What has appeared today is in attachment. I refers mostly to the expiry of Norton, which has never featured on my system. Then comes the warning of 5 viruses, (see pic 2), but then there's a Malwarebytes warning on proceeding further. It all looks a bit odd. I canot work out how to do a manual scan with Windows Defender either. So does this look genuine or a hoax? Installed: Windows Defender, Malwarebytes Premium (free), Bitdefender (free), Windows 10 Home 64bit

  7. The quarantine list reappeared, so I uninstalled Mbytes and cleaned any remaining debris vigorously, then reinstalled version with new download. At next daily scan the items surfaced again. I removed all extensions. Two daily scans since have reported clean. I think the problem is solved.
