  1. I really don’t know for sure what website I was looking at. I noticed the image on the desktop the next day after I turned on the computer. I have my FF browser set to delete internet history when it closes, so I can’t look at previous internet history. By using the image and the Google search keyword, I was able to narrow it down to a website, but I’m afraid to click on the link. I’m not for sure but I think this is the link. “https://stopmodacruel.org/watch?v=iS_GvweY7_o” Here is what the image looks like that was on my laptop. https://img.youtube.com/vi/W9wzagWi8P4/hqdefault.jpg I recall, the image was on the page just below a video player of what I think was “Episode #44: Lyme Genomics with Dr. Bob Miller, CTN”. I did not click on anything on the website. I haven't updated Firefox to latest version yet because I'm waiting for the dust to settle after their add on certificate problem. I will review all settings and Preferences in Firefox. Thanks for reply,.
  2. Firefox 66.0.3, Windows 7 How can a image be saved to your desktop just by scrolling a web page? Thanks for reply
  3. An image named Hqdefault.jpg appeared on my desktop. I didn't put it there. I was doing some google searching and I clicked on a website were I remember seeing the photo. I briefly scrolled the website and did not click on anything and then backed out. I noticed the photo after booting the computer the next day. I scanned with malwarebytes and nothing was found. I trashed and deleted the photo. Is this something to be worried about?
  4. I had started a thread awhile back and was told the following; "The Free version doesn't automatically update program and the database version. You have to do that manually. When you update the database manually and if there's a new program version it will notify you." Is this true? If it is I never received any notification that there was a new Free version of Malwarebytes. I have Malwarebytes Anti-Maleware Home (Free) 2.2.1.1043 Build Date 3/10/16 4:06 PM How to I obtain and install the latest Free version of Malwarebytes ? Do I have to uninstall (Free) 2.2.1.1043 first, then install the latest Free version of Malwarebytes? I have always manually updated the database version before scanning. How can I stay informed or notified on the new free Malwarebytes releases? Any help appreciate, Thanks,
  5. That's what thought, it just seems it has been awhile since there has been any changes, updates, and fixes to the Malwarebytes program. This PAGE shows release history for Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium 2.2.1 / March 18, 2016 and its previous versions. Does the free version and the pay version use the same version number? I can only find the release history for the pay versions of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium. Thanks,
  6. Does the Free version of the Malwarebytes program auto update when there is a new version? Or If there is a new program version available, will you be automatically notified, when you are updating the database version?
  7. TwinHeadedEagle, It it appears that by flushing/clearing the DNS cache fixed this Photobucket redirect tech scam problem. I have been viewing Photobucket pages after clearing the DNS cache for the last 4 days and I have not had my browsers redirect to a scam. I have not installed Adblock plus yet. Thanks for Help,
  8. TwinHeadedEagle, This must be coming from the Photobucket website. Is there away to test a website to see if is infected? This does happen using Firefox and Google Chrome browsers. I have not tested to see if it happens using Internet Explorer browser. It redirects once, then I click the back button to go back to photobucket, then it stops redirecting. If I clear the cache it will redirect again. Can you recommend a Adblock extension ?
  9. TwinHeadedEagle, I downloaded FRST. After clicking the scan button, FRST was scanning, then was not responding for about 5 seconds, then started scanning again. Attached is the FRST.txt log and Addition.txt log. Thanks,
  10. When I go to Photobucket my browser gets redirect to a scam. I have Malwarebytes. Updated and did a full scan many times. Zero threats detected. Microsoft Security Essentials. Updated and did a full scan many times. Zero threats detected. This only happens when I go to Photobucket. it does not matter what Photobucket page it is. I have tried Malwarebytes, AdwCleaner, Hitman Pro and Zemana AntiMalware and it still is redirecting. Is this coming from the Photobucket website? Why is this just happening when I go to the Photobucket website only? Is there something on my computer that is redirecting the browser? Any help appreciated,
  11. Yes, Is there a big difference between the 3800 and the 3801 and as far as acomplishing this issue: I do not want the other devices connected to the router to be able to monitor my computer internet traffic and/or access my computer. is this posible with this VDSL Modem Router.
  12. This might help here are links to the router manuals. http://www.danwilson...GV-B.Manual.pdf http://www.danwilson...1HGV.Manual.pdf The 1st link is what I have now. 2nd link is what the ISP wants me to upgrade to. They call it a Gateway but seems me to be a combination modem, ethernet switch,
  13. I have a full time always on live streaming weather data monitor pluged into one ethernet port and two directv satellite recievers connected via a DECA (DirecTV Ethernet over Coax Adapter) pluged into another ethernet port. I connect my computer to the router wirelessly or plug into another ethernet port. There are two ip addresses connected to one ethernet port each satellite reciever has a ip address. The DECA is really a coax cable to cat5 convertor. The weather data monitor has its one ip address. I do not want the other devices connected to the router to be able to monitor my computer internet traffic and/or access my computer. Thanks
  14. I do not want computer users pluging in router and accessing the internet without permission.
