Are there any known issues installing MBAM as part of a base XP image before running sysprep anf capturing the image? I would like to install and enable protection mode as part of my base install. I ran into this from Marcin in another thread which raised the question. Is anyone doing this currently? Thanks!

Is there any plan to incorporate something like this in the future? Some sort of console that could be used to centrally schedule scans and updates would really be useful. This and the ability to update for non-admin level users would be great. These types of features would really help to attract more corporate users. The product is awesome BTW.

This is a pretty major limitation. The main reason we purchased this was for the real time protection which becomes less useful if we can't schedule updates effectively for our non-admin users. B)

Exactly, all a use has to do is change the schedule and a task gets created for them that will fail. I tried your method to see if it would work at least once, and the scheduled task kicks off but nothing happens. If I double click the MBAM icon in the system tray I get this pop-up: "Malwarebytes' Antimalware is already running" Apparantly something is hung because it stayed that way over night, a reboot resolves but no update occured.

Forum, We have found that in order to perform updates, you must be an admin over the box. We do not allow this for any user, as no good system admin should. Is there any plan to correct this in a future revision? Answers to our other questions as to how this can be done would be appreciated. CMV Techs

I'm also trying to get Automatic updates to work for non-admin level users. When I log in as system administrator I see a multiple MBAM scheduled tasks. It looks like it creates one for each user. If I set the task for a limited user to "Run As" system administrator, then login as the limited user it fails. When I look at the task it is no longer set to "Run As" system administrator. It's as if MBAM resets the scheduled task settings when it runs at the next scheduled time. Also if the user changes their schedule in MBAM the scheduled task looses it "Run As" settings. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Great product. We have started to use it in a corporate environment and we were wondering a few things: 1. What is the minimum level of security needed for continuued use? We install as admins, but do our users have to be power users, or can they be regular users? 2. Can we control the configuration (scan time, updating time, etc.) through GPO or the registry? 3. Can we configure it to do silent installs using GPO? 4. Can we configure it to do silent updates? 5. Is there any plans for a tool that can query the status of the software, or is there a way to remotely query the status to ensure it is still running if need be? Thanks CMV Techs
