The newest IPB update has been completed. Took about 10 minutes but fixed many features.
1) I allowed avatars again.
2) Code tag works in PM's again.

Jean, thats wierd.. maybe a glitch?
Try unsubscribing to all forums and resubscribing to the ones you wish again. See if that fixes the problem?

The RogueRemover database is now available to be browsed at http://www.malwarebytes.org/database.php. Feel free to link to these pages and increase our exposure =).
Any suggestions, please let me know!

This is the new thread to post all new rogue applications that you find. Please keep this thread clean and move all discussions to another topic.

Hey Vino,
Welcome to the forums =].
-
Yea.. that was my next suggestion, running through the permissions. Glad you were able to get it resolved =)
-
What is the registry key that it can not open?

I thought you all would laugh about this. As many of you know KayKaspersky has been posting false information on the web about RogueRemover. Well, now apparently they are after Spybot.

From KayKaspersky:what kind of stupid developer is this? this damn spybot beta is absoultely full of bugs, this is stupid. don't waste your time folks, this is absolute junk !
I am going to inform Patrick.

Just to prove this damage wasn't caused by RogueRemover, here is the log it generated removing ErrorNuker.

Welcome! =)

SecurityWonks.org has been so generous as to provide a mirror with direct FTP access for me. This allows me to put them as the #1 mirror and update the files on the server as soon as they are released. This decreases the delay and sends the utilities out much quicker.
Thanks again SecurityWonks!
Any suggestions on how the mirror site looks? Post here and I will make sure they get passed down to the admin of Security Wonks.

Hi

Welcome to Malwarebytes =)

Probably to limit the junk that was posted in response to his posts. Good, Softonic finally removed it!
-
Jean, we spoke earlier, good thing you found the thread, I gave you the wrong location. Welcome to the forums!

I was able to get around Run as Administrator.. and will be incorporating this feature for all of the other applications as well. I believe you will see a full update of all of my utilties to be Vista compatible in the near future.
-
I am proud to announce that in the next release, both RogueRemover and RogueRemover PRO will be Vista compatible. I am in need of some beta testers. I am still trying to find a way to get around User Account Control (UAC), but I believe I might be able to.
Edit: Spoke to soon. RogueRemover handles UAC very nicely, you only get one prompt asking for permission to run the application.
-
I bought it. And as for portability.. I will only use .NET for Vista and higher.. My other programs will still be VB6 =)
-
Not .NET .. that thing is so powerful in both C++ and VB .. its amazing =].
