Mitech Posted October 27, 2011 ID:489324 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Every day when I launch Chrome I get a temp file starting with: etilqs.....I am not concerned with the file itself but I am concerned because it disables my Symantic Virus protection for a short period each day.Is there a way to stop this? ShyWriter Posted October 27, 2011 ID:489333 Share Posted October 27, 2011 According to Wilders Security Forums, the file is automatically downloaded from GOOGLE once a day.. So I would suspect it's benign. Other than that, I didn't dig deeper. As for disabling your anti-virus, you might scan the forums at Symantec because if it's doing it to you, it's probably doing it to other Symantec users as well. If it a momentary disablement, I probably wouldn't worry about it - especially if Virus and Malware scans don't pick up anything hinky.EDIT: 'etilqs' is 'sqlite' backwards - as in sqlite databases.HTHSteve
