rrdrums Posted December 12, 2008 ID:39722 Share Posted December 12, 2008 First, I am a complete newbie / not very computer literate poster. I got this malware saying I needed to load Microsoft 360 anti-virus. I immediately closed it, but I definitely got the malware. I downloaded the latest (december 3rd) Malwarebytes program, removed the 32 infected files, then rebooted. I continue to have problems. I re-ran malware removal program and it stated it was clean:Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.31Database version: 1493Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 312/12/2008 12:50:29 PMmbam-log-2008-12-12 (12-50-29).txtScan type: Full Scan (C:\|D:\|)Objects scanned: 167155Time elapsed: 32 minute(s), 10 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 0Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 0Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)I have Windows XP.
