Trojan/Rogue or some Malware problem

Recommended Posts

So I've got this Spy Guard 2008 poping up telling me I need to use their stuff after a short research I found out its a rogue, so I look into getting rid of it, everywhere I go says to use this MBAM, so i download it, scan it finds the Spy Guard and a couple trojans I think (sorry not very good with whats what in this field really). I hit the remove it tells me to reboot that stuff needs to be deleted on reboot so I follow it, system comes back up everything loads nice and fast like it used to, then I'm being hit again with the Spy Guard 2008 again, boot into safe mode, run MBAM again, it finds a few less this time, remove them, reboot, same deal again its back still. So now I'm here asking for any help/assistance you can offer cause I really don't want to have to format/reinstall everything, but its driving me crazy enough i'm about to.

Anyway here is my most recent MBAM log file.....

I tried to run the panda scan but as far as i can tell it appears as if something on my PC is blocking it from scanning.

Hello Dave,

I was searching about how to fix this same problem that you have and couldn't get it removed with MBAM. I posting to let you know that if you update your MBAM it should now remove it. I had first downloaded it a couple days ago and it would detect and remove it but then a couple minutes after a restart it would come back. The new version I just updated to (version 1.31 database version 1497) detected many more items called "spyware guard" and the items removal was permanent.

HTH
