malicious websites from skype

When skype is running on my computer(which is often the case)I get popups from Malware that say "successfully blocked access a to potentially malicious website IP: xxxxx (IPs change, but are often: 83.128.121.75; 217.23.14.107; 77.74.36.82 or 77.74.36.116); type: outgoing; port: 17230; process: skype.exe"

These popups occur every 10 minutes or so at times .. which is pretty distracting. Do you know why this is happening?

You can safely ignore these particular alerts, see the thread below for details about this Skype issue. Blocking the IP by Malwarebytes will not affect Skype operation

Great, thanks so much John .. should have found this. In another thread I see it is also possible to disable the popup notifications, which is also really useful. Whilst I want Malaware to keeo doing its job, I don't want to be told about it every few minutes! Thanks again, Katy
