Restart problem after scan and delete

After hitting an attack site, I ran MWB. It updated to the latest version then updated the definitions. I ran the scan and it found 2 trojans. I got to the point of the restart to delete from the quarantine. However the computer went into restart over and over without Windows ever coming back up. Now when I try to start, it goes through the drive reads (floppy and DVD drive) but then stops when it hits the hard drive.

While MWB may not have contributed to my problem, I wanted to present it here in case anybody had any similar experience. I'm running XP SP3. Of course I didn't have everything backed up so I would like to try and save the hard drive if possible.

I would suggest you to please read and follow the instructions in I'm infected - What do I do now? instead of doing anything at your own at this juncture. Please provide any additional information that you may have like what site you were visiting,... An Expert will assist you in removal process.
