Can no longer access internet

Recommended Posts

We somehow contracted a nasty virus (Security Tool) on our desktop PC. I was able to restart the computer in safe mode and purchase Malwarebytes Anti-Malware program online. Running that worked like a charm, and the computer is virus-free as far as I can tell. The only problem is, I can no longer access the internet. The desktop is hooked to the cable modem, and I am able to access the internet using my laptop and the wireless network. Neither IE or Chrome will work.

There is no longer an icon at the bottom that allows me to search for available wireless connections. I don't even know where to begin to fix it.

If anyone can help, I'd much appreciate it!
