Explorer.exe Crashing Often when I open any App

Run GMER again .

Next to the "Rootkit/Malware" tab is ">>>" , click that tab .

Click the files tab .

Click the "+" symbols to expand the folders . Navigate to :

Windows

System32

Drivers

In the right pane look for spdn.sys , click on it to highlight it .

On the far right side click the copy button and copt the file to your desktop and name it file.sys .

Zip and attach this file to your next post , it may be the cause of your problems here . It is usually a bad thing when a driver gets 0 hits on google .

I am in the right location but spdn.sys is not in there.

I did some more research and found that this file is likely Daemon Tools .

We have ruled out every possible item that can be malware causing your issues. Our best advice now is a repair install or to a professional shop.

What do you mean a repair install ? Reinstall Windows XP ?
