Seems like my computer cannot get rid of malware

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

Newbie here...I've used malwarebytes to remove the malware that I have on my computer (those registry cleaners, and Defender spam malwares) about a couple months ago and it seems like they keep coming back like every month. I upgraded to a paid version on malwarebytes that has the real time scanner but it seems like everytime I select it, the next day, it will show that I don't have it turned on and I have to manually tick the box again to select it.

Right now, I noticed a slow performance on my computer with my firefox having a long time to load, and when I tried browsing, another page opened up with a malware program on it. i'm pretty sure I have another malware attack and I am currently running Malwarebytes with an updated database and see if I sniff out the culprit...

Anyways, here are my questions...it seems like my computer keeps on getting this malware, is it my computer or my IP address on the "spammers' hit list" I have a dedicated IP for my internet connection so I don't have the luxury of rebooting my DSL modem t oget a new IP. Or is it that I have a lingering virus/trojan on my computer that Mcafee plus Malwarebytes cannot remove and every month, it will activate with a new malware program...anyways, I feel that my computer is just "infected" already and it seems like it is not going away..

Any comments and suggestions on what I have to do it appreciated.

Thanks..

Vinnie
