Rootkit agent vaqatv.sys

Recommended Posts

Hi, a scan with MWBT showed a Rootkit Agent vaqatv.sys in the folder C:\windows\system 32\drivers.

It said it could put it in the vault, and completely delete it on reboot. However, a new scan after the reboot showed it again. This a couple of times.

I scanned with a variety of other rootkit detectors: Sophos, Avast, Superantyspiware and a couple others, none found any trace of this.

Any suggestion as if this is a known threat and how to eliminate it or a false positive or what? BTW, scanning in safe mode with MWBT did not show anything, however I understand That this is possible with rootkits.
