We are receiving reports from our support team about Malwarebytes flagging our software, specifically the legitimate application SqlBak.Service.exe, as suspicious or identifying it as a ransomware threat.

This is a false positive detection, and we would like to clarify that this executable is part of our official backup software SQLBackupAndFTP and SqlBak. The software is downloaded directly from our official websites, https://sqlbackupandftp.com/ and https://sqlbak.com/, and is used to manage secure database backups, including encryption, which might have led to it being mistakenly flagged.

We kindly request that Malwarebytes re-evaluate this detection to ensure our application is no longer flagged incorrectly. In the meantime, we recommend adding these files to your exclusion list to avoid further interruptions.

I have attached installers for both of our products, SQLBackupAndFTP and SqlBak, along with the sqlbak.service.exe file and a screenshot. The file referenced in the screenshot, sqlbak.service.exe, is installed as a Windows service on our users' servers. This file acts as the main service of the application, interacting with databases, sending web logs, and handling the encryption of backup files.
