Escape from Tarkov - Website blocking while Playing

Hi,

 

referring to Post ...

i updated my Malwarebytes Version and still have similar results.

 

While playing the game connects to a certain IP (IP: 45.136.153.217) which is then blocked by Malwarebytes. The results are displayed as either Malware or Compromised File. Logs are attachted.

I'm guessing this is more of a general IP block than an actual compromised file. I also did check the EscapeFromTarkov.exe on Virustotal with negative results (https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/af18ed0f91960a7f1c98e9ffd24ea177b74be9746309c973f74c4c727352a7d6?nocache=1)

 

If its the same problem how would i switch of just this particular notification? Or would I have to take further steps because this might be a threat after all?

Hi,

You can add the game to play mode, where the IP will be blocked, but no notifications will be shown.

Would that just disable notifications caused from the game or all notifications while playing it?

It would disable all notifications while the game is running.

But the assumption would be analogous to the other case, that there is no real threat here either, right?

There shouldn't be, no. It's probably getting blocked cause the game is trying to connect to a specific server. Steam and many others use P2P connections to play online.
