Can a virus pass from a DVD-RW to a PC's hard drive in a passive manner? For instance, if I merely insert an infected disk will the virus transfer to my hard drive? What if I write to the disc, but I do not open any files on the disk? Can the virus be lurking as a hidden file as opposed to infecting a file? How does this work exactly?
