Message from Spybot S&D

Hi...

Using free version of 1.40.

I also have Spybot S&D and run it in "paranoid mode," which asks me to (dis)allow any write to the registry.

Regarding MBAM I get this from Spybot S&D:

Could someone please explain what it is?

Should I allow it permanently?

Didn't see anything in FAQ or Forum...

Thanx...Jim W.

CATEGORY: System Startup Global Entry

CHANGE: Value Deleted

ENTRY: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (reboot)

OLD DATA: C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe /run cleanup script

I'm having the same issue but from the UAC not spybot. I tried to reinstall and it still asks me if I want to allow cleanup from the UAC. It started after I ran a scan and it found one entry for a change in the display. Here is what the log said:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoActiveDesktopChanges (Hijack.DisplayProperties) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

I tried to rerun the driver install from nvidia thinking that maybe it was something from them since this is a completely new build and not something harmful. But the scan didn't detect it a second time. I'm running 7 ultimate 64bit. Any idea why it keeps asking to run the cleanup every time I boot even if I haven't run a scan or, when I do, no longer find any problems?

Nevermind. Sorry, just saw the fix that was pinned to the top of the forum. I found this thread from a google search and didn't check my other forum search didn't pull up the solution. My fault for not looking around more thoroughly....
