Enterprise edition questions

Recommended Posts

Hi, im a IT tech, from a university, seeking for a nice option to replace our headache Norton enterprise edition to something far more resource effective, and with a better rate of finding unwanted things, less heavy upgrades(Norton has roughly arround 1 gb each time) etc.

So my questions :

1) Is there a way not to bother non-IT personell ? (with poping up windows about updating the programm and so on, except the malware detection of course)

2) Is there a way to manage blocked sites, or add exceptions, centralized ?

3) Is there any way to have a test version for enterprise edition ? For example, 1 server install that works for few days, and which supports to 3 clients, so we can test it and see if your great product works for our enterprise needs.

Our aim is to not concern our workers with things that they arent supposed to see, so less questions, less time spent explaining and better work efficency on both IT and non-IT personell.

And again Thank you for the great product ( FREE version, and anti-rootkit ), that you made, works great.

Hi dExIT,

1) By default, MEE clients do not have any prompts or pop-ups regarding updates. The only notifications your users will see is for threats that have been blocked. You can configure the program to run completely silently if you desire too.

2) You can customize exceptions using the MEE Management Console, which will push the settings to your clients. Currently there is no method for adding custom blocked sites.

3) If you are interested in evaluating MEE, I can help get you in touch with the appropriate department to start this process.

Hopefully this helps answer your questions. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I will be happy to help.

Thank you for the insight. About the evaluation, is there a possibility to do that ? I allready cotacted sales, and know approx., so now we need to test this in our own work enviroment, and how less of a problem will MEE be, comparing to Norton ( Not all are conviced, need to show a live example ).
