  1. By the way, you told me to save ContextFix.reg to the desktop. Is it okay if I move the file somewhere else and run it for there in the event I need to?
  2. Yeah, I figured Erunt wasn't responsible, too, after disabling it and rebooting. And I remembered that Avast was still able to create a context menu even though Erunt wasn't disabled. That also led me to believe that Erunt wasn't responsible.
  3. It's probably worth mentioning ERUNT 1.1 didn't prevent Avast, when I reinstalled it, from creating a context menu though.
  4. Oh, you're right, it does work. I just had to press "fn" on the keyboard first. Yes, ERUNT AutoBackup belongs to ERUNT 1.1 (Emergency Recover Utility NT 1.1). It creates a backup of the registry (if there isn't one already for that date) when Windows starts. I wonder if it was responsible? I'm pretty sure (not 100% though) that MBAM wasn't creating a context menu before ERUNT 1.1 was installed. I suppose the only way to find out would be to uninstall both MBAM and ERUNT 1.1 then reinstall them in the following order: 1) MBAM 2) ERUNT 1.1.
  5. Yeah, it worked. Thanks for helping me with the MBAM issue by the way.
  6. I tried that, but apparently print screen doesn't work when a context menu is opened. Alas, I think I found the answer though. Apparently, I need to delay the screen shot. The screen capture tool, that I still have 27 days left in my trial, allows me to add a delay.
  7. This is unrelated, but you wouldn't happen to know how to take a screen shot with a context menu open so that the context menu is included in the screen shot, would you?
  8. Okay, thanks. I figured something was wrong when there wasn't an entry for MBAM in autoruns. There is now an entry in autoruns for MBAM.
  9. If I had to re-install MBAM for some reason, would the context menu disappear again?

  12. I'll proceed with disabling ERUNT AutoBackup and Sandboxie Control then.
  13. It appears that way. I just tried opening a dll file and I got an error message.
  14. Well, Zone Alarm Free offers no way to actually exclude a file - It only allows me to decide whether or not a program in the list should be able to access the internet - Is that what you mean?
  15. Note: Before scanning with autoruns, I selected "Verify Code Signatures" and unselected "Hide Microsoft and Windows Entries" as stated in the link. Should I have unselected "Hide Windows Entries" too? It wasn't mentioned in the link.
  16. The new link offers the same solution as the aforementioned links.
  17. I didn't think about adding exclusions in Avast's Web Shield and Behavior Shield - I did so now - It hasn't solved the issue. Everything else has already been done. I'll try the new link. The AutoRuns.zip is attached as requested. AutoRuns.zip
  18. I wouldn't say the problem is with my operating system alone (if at all) since Avast and Hitman Pro have no problem creating a right-click context menu. I actually re-installed Avast within one or two days ago.
  19. Thanks for the responses. Sorry about the late reply; I fell asleep. >.> @Firefox - I followed the directions (several times) in the link provided, however, they did not solve the issue. @daledoc1 - The option is indeed checked. Additionally, I unchecked the option, closed MBAM, opened MBAM then rechecked the option - It didn't work - OS: Windows XP 32-bit,Media Center Edition,Service Pack 3 - Real Time Protection: Avast Free 6.0.1125 - Software Firewall: Zone Alarm Free 9.2.106.000 - The first link doesn't work; the second and third links provide the same solution as the link provided by Firefox - Side Note: In one of the links provided, someone mentioned to run an autoruns scan. I did so and there is no entry for MBAM in autoruns. Something tells me there should be.
  20. Hi, I didn't see my issue in the FAQ so decide to go ahead and create this topic. - MBAM doesn't create right-click context menu even though the option is select in settings. I've tried the following solution process: Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware via Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel Restart computer Download and run mbam-clean.exe utility Restart computer Download and install latest version
