  1. If anyone reading this thread and trying these methods please post your results as WetLook has done. Also if you can add your basic system details CPU type/speed, memory Operating system. That would be great as well. :)

Thank you for posting this thread it turned out to be the sunshine my computer needed after it froze running MBAM PRO and McAfee on one computer. Below you will find the steps I took to get MBAM PRO and McAfee to become friends:

    Computer Specs:

    Desktop machine

Windows XP Home Edition v2002 SP3

    AMD Athlon processor

    LE-1640

    2.71 GHz, 2.75GB

    143GB HD

    Software Specs:

    Malwarebytes' Anti Malware PRO 1.51.0.1200

    McAfee Internet Security 2011 10.5

Added to the MalwareBytes Ignore List:

    Folders:

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfeapfk.sys

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfeavfk.sys

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfebopk.sys

    Files:

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfeclnk.sys

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfefirek.sys

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfehidk.sys

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfendisk.sys

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mferkdet.sys

    F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfetdi2k.sys

Added to McAfee Internet Security 2011 (Navigation> Firewall> Program Permission> Add):

    Files:

    F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

    F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe

    F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

Files that could not be added:

    F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware\mbam.dll

    F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll

    F:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware\rules.ref

    F:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys

    F:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys

Changes made to regedit after unchecking "use access protection" box in McAfee Internet Security 2011 and saving regedit (just in case):

    (Hkey Local Machine> Software> McAfee> System Core> VsCore> On Access Scanner> McShield> Configuration> Default> ExcludedItem_xx)

    4|3|%PROGRAMFILES%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe

    4|3|%PROGRAMFILES%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe

    4|3|%PROGRAMFILES%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe

    4|3|%windir%\system32\drivers\mbam.sys

    4|3|%windir%\system32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys

Modified the key "NumExcludeItems" to the (new) total number of exclusions.

Checked "use access protection" box in McAfee Internet Security 2011.

    Tests:

    Quick scan MalwareBytes

    Quick scan McAfee

    Quick scan MalwareBytes/McAfee simultaneously

    Full scan MalwareBytes/McAfee simultaneously

Running Outlook Express, surfing the internet, working in Adobe Photoshop CS4 while running quick scan MalwareBytes/McAfee simultaneously

So far: no problems!!!! (It's been 7 days and still running smooth.)

Being all thumbs when it comes to this technical stuff I say:

A BIG,BIG,BIG thank you and an even BIGGER cyber-hug from me to you and everyone else who posted their wisdom on this forum.

(FYI: my main drive is F:\ instead of C:\.)
