  2. Thank you for posting this thread it turned out to be the sunshine my computer needed after it froze running MBAM PRO and McAfee on one computer. Below you will find the steps I took to get MBAM PRO and McAfee to become friends: Computer Specs: Desktop machine Windows XP Home Edition v2002 SP3 AMD Athlon processor LE-1640 2.71 GHz, 2.75GB 143GB HD Software Specs: Malwarebytes' Anti Malware PRO 1.51.0.1200 McAfee Internet Security 2011 10.5 Added to the MalwareBytes Ignore List: Folders: F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfeapfk.sys F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfeavfk.sys F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfebopk.sys Files: F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfeclnk.sys F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfefirek.sys F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfehidk.sys F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfendisk.sys F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mferkdet.sys F:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\mfetdi2k.sys Added to McAfee Internet Security 2011 (Navigation> Firewall> Program Permission> Add): Files: F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe Files that could not be added: F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware\mbam.dll F:\Program Files\Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll F:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes'Anti-Malware\rules.ref F:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys F:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys Changes made to regedit after unchecking "use access protection" box in McAfee Internet Security 2011 and saving regedit (just in case): (Hkey Local Machine> Software> McAfee> System Core> VsCore> On Access Scanner> McShield> Configuration> Default> ExcludedItem_xx) 4|3|%PROGRAMFILES%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe 4|3|%PROGRAMFILES%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe 4|3|%PROGRAMFILES%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe 4|3|%windir%\system32\drivers\mbam.sys 4|3|%windir%\system32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys Modified the key "NumExcludeItems" to the (new) total number of exclusions. Checked "use access protection" box in McAfee Internet Security 2011. Tests: Quick scan MalwareBytes Quick scan McAfee Quick scan MalwareBytes/McAfee simultaneously Full scan MalwareBytes/McAfee simultaneously Running Outlook Express, surfing the internet, working in Adobe Photoshop CS4 while running quick scan MalwareBytes/McAfee simultaneously So far: no problems!!!! (It's been 7 days and still running smooth.) Being all thumbs when it comes to this technical stuff I say: A BIG,BIG,BIG thank you and an even BIGGER cyber-hug from me to you and everyone else who posted their wisdom on this forum. (FYI: my main drive is F:\ instead of C:\.)
