[Infected, smart virus]

Virus is toast.

All in all, I renamed the install file, the manual updater, and the mbam.exe in the malbyte folder.

Wouldn't launch...I made a copy of the launch exe and it worked. All is good in the neighborhood.

Hope this helps anyone with the same virus, not sure where it came from.

I've read that you have to change the name of the mbam.exe file to something...I changed it, and it still doesn't load up...

I'll post the Hijackthis thing once I get that working..

oh, and this is on my sister's laptop, I've been downloading the installs, renaming them and putting them in a shared folder to transfer them over.
