Virus is toast. All in all, I renamed the install file, the manual updater, and the mbam.exe in the malbyte folder. Wouldn't launch...I made a copy of the launch exe and it worked. All is good in the neighborhood. Hope this helps anyone with the same virus, not sure where it came from.

edit: oh, and this is on my sister's laptop, I've been downloading the installs, renaming them and putting them in a shared folder to transfer them over. running in safe mode w/ networking

I've read that you have to change the name of the mbam.exe file to something...I changed it, and it still doesn't load up... I'll post the Hijackthis thing once I get that working..
