  1. I did the full disk check. Took a while but it actually found something. It replaced bad kernals or whatever with a Windows/Update file. I was like ok this might fix it. I installed malwarebytes again and did a regular scan and it worked. The disk check must've fixed the problem with that file. Thanks a lot for your help.
  2. Hi, today I decided to install malwarebytes program on my fairly new laptop. I tried scanning twice and it kept freezing on a windows/installer file both times. I couldn't end the program either time. The first time trying to restart the whole computer froze completely requiring a hard start. Second time I tried ending the program while the computer wasn't completely frozen after 10 minutes nothing changed forcing me to stuff it off the hard way again. My free trial of norton ran out so I had installed zone alarm and avast prior to malwarebytes. I currently uninstalled it completely but I'm still interested in using it. I just don't want to keep shutting off my computer after every scan I try. Is there anything I can do to make it work?
